The Central Illinois Police and Working Dog Association is pleased to announce the 2007 GSDCA-WDA National Schutzhund Championship/WUSV Qualification Trial, Police Dog Championship, and Helper Championship event. The Trial will take place April 13, 14, and 15. The Trial will be held at Princeville High School Memorial Stadium, which is located at 302 Cordis Av., Princeville, Illinois 61559.

Tracking will be conducted on `winter wheat fields' - a grass type surface that should be at 4 to 6 inches in height by mid April. The blinds will run from north to south.

Directions from host hotel to CIPWDA practice grounds. Once you turn on Dickison Cemetary road, go about half a mile and you will see it on your right.

Preliminary schedule (subject to change.)

 

There will be a seminar on the new AKC Working Dog Sport (WDS) at 2pm on Thursday April 12 at the GSDCA-WDA National Schutzhund Championship/WUSV Qualification Trial site in Princeville. The philosophy, procedures, and regulations will be presented, and attendees will have the opportunity to become certified as WDS personnel. There will be no charge.

 

Draw night will take place at the Ramada Inn (host hotel) Thursday evening at 7:00 PM.

The Judges dinner is Saturday the 14th at Knights of Columbus on Radnor Rd. in Peoria. Prime Rib will be served. The price is $25.

Competition begins Friday at 7:00 AM.

The club grounds will be open to competitors Monday 9th through Wednesday the 11th from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. Practice tracking is on two fields. One has grass the other is hay.

Practice is available in the stadium Thursday morning beginning at 9:00 AM. Each competitor will have 5 minutes to practice. The sign in sheet for practice will be available starting Monday , April 9th at the CIPWDA club grounds. It will be on a first come first serve basis. Practice will be a total of 5 minutes for each competitor, not 5 minutes for each discipline. This will be strictly enforced.

The Police Dog Championships has been postponed to a later date. A new date will be posted soon.
